Choose the Right Glazing
Double glazing, triple glazing, filled with inert gas (argon), glazing covered with a Low-E film. The options are numerous, all aiming to make rhyme glazing with energy efficiency, comfort, soundproofing and great satisfaction. Other options will allow you to accentuate the aesthetics of your windows: tinted glasses, frosted glasses, tiles, integrated blinds, etc.

Here is some information and advice that will help you make the right choice between the number of lenses and the options available:

Double Glass
Composed of 2 panes, an interlayer, a Low-E film and argon gas, this option is the most popular because it offers very good energy efficiency without spending a fortune.

Triple Glass
Made up of three panes, this configuration provides better thermal performance as well as an increase in the temperature of the inner window which increases the comfort and reduces the effect of condensation. The triple glazing also brings a noticeable improvement for reducing noise traffic type fast.
The choice of a triple glazing is therefore made when your budget allows it or when the external conditions really require it (ex. window facing north with extreme temperatures in winter, the most northern climatic zone in Canada, proximity to Airport etc.).

Laminated
The laminated thermos maintains the energy properties of the double glass thermos while considerably reducing the external noise.

Tinted
The tinted glass allows to gain privacy without depriving you of the sight. Indeed, it does not affect visibility to the outside, but considerably reduces that towards the interior. It is however important to know that this type of glass considerably reduces the thermal gains of the window and thus affects its energy efficiency.

Tempered
Tempered glass is a safety glass. When broken, tempered glass will burst into many small pieces to reduce the risk of injury. This glass is also 4 to 5 times more resistant to impact than a regular glass.

Frosted
Frosted glass is a conventional glass that has been treated with sand or acid to create a satin surface effect. Thus, even if it remains translucent, this glass makes it possible to hide slightly the view towards the inside as the outside.
